I've added the candle flame, having used an actual candle flame as a model.
I've lightened the color on the little dragon a bit more to my satisfaction, which in turn, allowed me to use other colors, and something called "impossible lighting". I also changed the position of the tail, and I feel like it adds more depth to the background as well as helping establish a better perspective with the holder.
I also got rid of some...not all...of the blue, which feels better to me, and added a bit more definition to the "ground".
Detail on the candle and the holder are likewise completed.
And there you have it...a small young dragon with territorial issues.
They used to make multi-colored candles that dribbled rainbow colors...I haven't seen those recently, but then I haven't been looking for 'em either...did your brother sell his candles?

It was really interesting seeing the WIP shots and how it came along! I love the drippy wax on the candle, and the georgeous shading on the young dragon! Very nice.
Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
