Siegfried and Fafner 1 by Hagge Siegfried and Fafner 1 by Hagge
Based on Wagner's "Der Ring Des Nibelungen"
Siegfriend defeating Fafner, the giant, who has turned himself into a dragon...
I worked far too long on it in my opinion...:(

Your drawing is amazing, but I think that Fafner was er.
But: Good work!

Sorry for my English, I'm from Germany.

I apologize for not replying right away, my computer was broken. :(

Thank you for the comment, but I'm not sure I understood what you meant about Fafner. :)

I love LOVE this. It is extremely realistic seeming to me. Like he was paused mid air.

I looks exactly like those fantasy book covers by Vallejo. :D
I'd be glad to see a Siegfried who looks like this, and not like a fat, 50+ man with a bad voice...

Do you know the original story before Wagner?

The original story is a book which has 2440 verses and each verse has four lines.
It was written in the Middle Ages.
It was written in Middle High German. That language is different from the German of today.
You could search for "The Song of the Nibelungs". Maybe you will find more about it.

It's a bit different to Wagner I think.

I did look it up. Actually rather more interesting than the one I read at the Wagner site. I suppose people would think it too gruey (gruesome) to portray Siegfried bathing in blood. Thanks. :)

Detail and expressions. -spaz- This is really cool. You've captured the energy, the emotion, and backgound, without losing your main focus.
