Again, another perspective picture that didn't quite work out, and might have gone to that Great-Recycle-Bin-In-The-Sky if it weren't for my two favourite subjects: bears and water. It has been suggested I write the word "patience" into my personal dictionary...:)

yeeey bears! So cuddly and friendly (when not angered). The water looks so beautiful and fierce at the same time, I can feel the water steam and drops on my skin

Absolutely beautiful--my friend, you ought to have a business making the pictures for puzzles! Maths and logic nuts like my dad would love the detail that would make all of the pieces unique but hard to place where they go.

I wanted to be an illustrator...and I wanted to do people, but not just portraits. And I got to do that with some of the art and people here; you and Cei Ellem, and some of 7th Sanctum's contests...but I keep falling back on landscapes and animals...It's tempting to start a new site just for the kind of art I REALLY want to do...

That's a very reachable goal for you. I like the way you paint people, and the different themes you explore overall. But I know what you mean... I fell out of everything I did, and now I feel like I have no inspiration for art at all, or at least no confidence in it.

How would that site look, I wonder? :?

I found out I need to make them more dynamic for starters...or some of them...thanks. :)

Yeah, I hear ya...been there done that...but I kept dinking with some of my art and writing even though I didn't get anywhere with it for a bit, till one day, it just kinda kicked in again...and yeah, my pictures showed the lack of enthusiasm, but it kept everything from turning to sludge.

I dunno...I may get there someday. I'll be sure to let you know when I do.

Oh thanks for the answer... I'm really behind at replying!!
I admire those who can use Photoshop to its best... I could never get to grips with that program! Everything I do in it just comes out looking shiny and plastic!

Thats cool. I don't think I've seen fuzzy logs around here. At least not 'up' like that. If they are, they're usually on the ground and mostly buried, and so rotten that if you step on them, they collapse. lol Not very artistic at all. But we do live in a fairly dry climate too. Probably makes the difference.

Well, the picture is actually based on a log I saw stretched across a substantial gap. (no waterfall, though) And the creek I live near has logs galore just like it. :)

Thats cool. Definitely more inspiring than rotting ones that are more ankle-snappers than artistic. lol I love how you can do that too. Take an image then fill it in to make another scene entirely. Shows a good streak of creativity to be able to do that.

Aw, thanks! :D It's based on an actual tree suspended just like that between two rock walls, except there was nothing but void below...I couldn't portray that to my satisfaction...:( dang it, but this did work out.

I'm no real artist per-say but it looks like you could do a cell-shaded version of this (or something like it) considering the bear looks shinier than the rest of the piece. Just a thought, but I like the rest of the piece :)

I think I favorite just about everything you do! I'm curious, do you do much in the way of real media art? I'm mostly curious how your style would transfer over to a medium such as oil or acrylic C:.

:) Oh thanks...
Actually, I've worked in acrylics for a long time...started in oils till someone introduced me to acrylics...and yeah, depending on the picture, the paintings are pretty detailed, as well. :)
I love my tablet and adobe photoshop because, (once I learned how to use it) my pictures go a lot faster. Like I said...';patience' is not in my personal dictionary.

Wow, I really love the way you did the water spray. It looks very realistic - reminds me of the rapids I went rafting down one summer. Though these one look much more dangerous, heh.
